Important Scheduling Information

The final regular-season football game vs. Weymouth that was scheduled for Oct. 31 has been moved to Nov. 1. The Halloween date was initially chosen because the 星空无限传媒 are closed on Friday, Nov. 1 in honor of Diwali, a newly added holiday for the 2024-25 academic calendar.

Due to significant safety concerns around playing a night game on Halloween, and after consulting with numerous parties including Town departments, the teams believe the best option is to move the game to the evening of Nov. 1, with a 4:30 p.m. start time. With the football season cutoff date in place for that weekend, and the playoffs beginning the following week, Saturday was not a workable option.

It’s important to note that under no circumstances will any student be penalized for missing a practice or game to observe a religious or cultural holiday.

First Homecoming Game

After a proposal by the Class of 2025 class officers, the WHS administration is organizing the first-ever football homecoming weekend for October 18-19. In addition to the game on Friday night, a Community Day has been scheduled for October 19. More information on homecoming events will be shared with the WHS community at a later date.

Parking Information and Other Guidance

For night games, WHS will be following similar parking rules to those used for graduation. No parking will be available on Rice, State, Smith, Clifford, Forest, and Seaver streets. See this link for attendee guidance and an area parking map.

We hope you will attend one or more of these night games this fall. Go Raiders!
